Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals
Pre-registration
Accordingly to European Union regulation No. 1907/2006 that came into force at 1/06/2007, all companies manufacturing or importing chemical substances into the European Union in quantities of one tonne or more per year, are required to register these substances with a new European Chemical Agency in Helsinki, Finland.
Timna Copper Mines already met the engagement of the regulation and passed the procedure of pre-registration of its products. Although 'pre-registering' is not mandatory, it is an important step in allowing potential registrants much more time before they have to fully register.
Final Registration Timna Copper Mines appointed the Only Representative company in EU, which will finally submit a dossier and register Timna's products. Accordingly to the tonnage bands of Timna's products imported into EU and covered by REACH regulation (100-1000 tons per annum), all Timna's products will be finally registered until 2013, excluding Copper Sulfate, which is considered as dangerous substance and therefore will be registered until December, 2010.
